Everyone is unique, an individual, and this doesn’t change for vulnerable adults. Everyone should have the right to independent-as-possible living with as many chances to showcase their talents and personality. This is why at Falcon Housing Association, we provide nationwide support and social housing for vulnerable adults that doesn’t just begin and end with a room to call their own. This is how we provide support for vulnerable adults.
Their home for life
We’re invested in our tenants, and what better way to give them support and stability than the gift of a home for life? We’re here to provide vulnerable adults with the support they need to live as independently as safely possible while encouraging their betterment. We involve vulnerable adults and their families in all important decisions regarding their housing, so both parties feel comfortable and secure. Our team encourages our tenants to make their own choices regarding their home, from where they want to live and who they want to live with. We further this independence by helping them decorate and furnish their own bedroom, creating a personal and private space for them to relax and unwind. We encourage our tenants to bring their own furnishing, belongings, and any little bits they’d like to add to make their non-institutional house a home.
Developing the individual
Because everyone is unique, everyone has their own unique goals and aspirations too. At Falcon Housing Association we want to develop your loved one into the best possible version of themselves they can be. We’re dedicated to furthering their independence and teaching them new skills to better take control of their daily living tasks. We work closely with care providers and families to help our tenants maintain their tenancies, improve their well-being, and learn how to manage more and more day-to-day activities. We also provide support for vulnerable adults through our interactions with charities and local authorities. Through these supportive bodies, we can encourage our tenants to live the most colourful life safely possible. This includes involving them in the local community, developing skills in workshops, attending social activities, and even gaining work experience.
Providing professional support
We work closely with local authorities and councils to provide superior support for vulnerable adults. This means we can identify the needs of the tenants in our care and implement a solution to better adapt their social-housing requirements to them. All of our supported living properties fully comply with regulatory requirements and we work efficiently with authorities to maintain this. For those we cannot immediately place in social housing, we work with local reputable bodies to provide temporary housing to those in need of shelter until we can locate a suitable permanent solution. We also work alongside registered, person-centred care providers. These trusted individuals provide high quality care and tailored support to our tenants by helping them maintain their tenancies and managing their day-to-day activities.
